We wanted to share a fact sheet with you all so you know what is going on with actual facts and the state of where we are as a province and country.Good personal and communal hygiene will mitigate any infection risks to employees. The following practices should be implemented immediately:
- Washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
- Avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoiding close contact with people who are sick.
- Staying home when sick.
- Covering a cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throwing the tissue in the trash.
- Social Distancing
Employees are encouraged to practice appropriate social distancing practices. Examples would include avoiding close contact with other individuals who appear to be ill and avoiding close contact of a routine nature when possible such as handshakes.
