The Guard Nation technology division

Cameras, alarms, access control, and the people who respond to them.

Guard Nation runs its own technology division. We design and install your cameras, alarms, and access control, we watch them with our own operators, and when something trips, one of our guards or a K9 team can be the thing that shows up.

// ONE PARTNER

Most companies that sell you a camera system are done the moment it's on the wall. They hand you an app, wish you luck, and the next time anything goes wrong it's your problem at two in the morning, or a monitoring station's problem, and a monitoring station can only call the police and wait.

That's the part we built our business around. Guard Nation has its own systems division under the same roof as our guards and our K9 teams. We spec the gear, we run the cable, we install it, and we support it. When a camera flags someone on your lot after hours, our own operators are watching the feed, and they can talk to that person through a speaker or send a Guard Nation guard to the site. You're not stitching together a camera vendor, a separate alarm company, and a guard firm that have never spoken to each other. It's one local company that owns the whole chain and answers the phone when you call.

We're a full low-voltage integrator, so this goes further than security. We run data, security, and audio-visual cabling, we wire the automation side — lighting control and door scheduling tied into the access system — we install the conduit ourselves, and we finish the job from the empty wall to the working system. If you're building out an office, a warehouse, or a retail space, we can do the network, the cameras, the access control, and the boardroom AV as one trade instead of four.

What the system actually does

Not a notification — a verified response.

The difference between a camera that records a loss and a system that stops one is what happens after it triggers. Ours is built to end in a real Guard Nation response.

Verified live monitoring

Our own trained operators watch your cameras in real time and verify what's actually happening before anyone reacts — a person, not unattended software.

Live audio talk-down

An operator can speak through on-site speakers and warn a trespasser off. A live voice is often the whole response you need.

Guard & K9 response

When it's verified, the response is a Guard Nation guard or K9 team on scene where that's what the site needs, and fire, medical or police where it isn't — because the people who respond work for the company that installed the system.

Smart analytics

Detection tuned for your site that tells a person from a passing car, so an alert means something instead of crying wolf every time a shadow moves.

Access control & audit log

Decide who gets through which door and when, with a full record of every entry — and revoke a credential from your phone the minute you need to.

Named-brand hardware

Axis, Hanwha, Ajax, Verkada, Turing, DSC, ICT, Brivo, Kantech, CDVI. We tell you exactly what goes on your wall before we install it.

Ten systems, engineered to work together

What we design and install.

Designed, installed, and supported locally — and tied into our own monitoring and your guards, so the pieces actually work as one system.

The Guard Nation difference

A camera can watch. Ours triggers a real response.

Most systems end with a notification. Ours end with a Guard Nation guard or K9 team on scene — because we run the cameras, the monitoring, and the people who respond. One partner, one point of accountability.

What sets us apart

Designed, installed, and monitored by us.

People and technology, one partner. Your system doesn't just send a notification — it can trigger a real guard or K9 response, because the responders work for the same company that installed it.

Watched by our own team. Live video monitoring is handled in-house by Guard Nation operators. Alarm and fire signals are received by our partner's ULC-listed monitoring station, the recognized standard in Canada — and every activation is verified before anyone is dispatched, so the signal doesn't stop at the station.

A full low-voltage integrator. Data, security, AV and automation — lighting control and door scheduling tied into the access system — with conduit we install ourselves, from the empty wall to the finished system.

Local install and local support. A local BC team installs it, monitors it, and picks up the phone when you need something.

We name our gear. Axis, Hanwha, Ajax, Verkada, Turing, DSC, ICT, Brivo, Kantech, CDVI. If a company won't tell you what it's putting on your wall, ask why.

A notification to your phone, or a call to the police, and then everyone waits.
Our own operators verify it on live video and can send a guard or K9 team.

Unattended software, or a distant station that can only make a call.
Trained operators watching in real time from our own local operation.
The gear
Unnamed "high-definition" cameras you never get told the brand of.
Named brands we list for you before anything goes on the wall.

An app, a manual, and good luck the next time something breaks.
A local team that services what it installed and answers the phone.

In-house live monitoring

Guard Nation operators watch your cameras in real time, so a human verifies the alert before anyone reacts.

ULC-listed alarm monitoring

Alarm and fire signals are received by a ULC-listed monitoring station we partner with — the recognized standard for monitoring in Canada — and every activation is verified before the appropriate response is dispatched.

Full low-voltage integrator

Data, security, AV and automation — lighting control and door scheduling tied into the access system. One crew, from the empty wall to the working system.

How it works

From a free site walk to a system that responds.

1

Free site walk.

We come out, look at your building the way someone with bad intentions would, and figure out where technology genuinely helps and where it's a waste of money.

2

A design for your site.

The right cameras, sensors, and doors for your layout and budget, built to work together instead of as a pile of parts.

3

Clean local install.

Our own crew, conduit we install ourselves, on a schedule that works around your operation.

4

Verified response.

Feeds are monitored by our own operators and alarm signals are received by a ULC-listed monitoring station. Every activation is verified before anyone is dispatched — then the appropriate response follows: our guard or K9 team where that is what the situation needs, or fire, medical or police where it is not. Verification is what separates a real event from a false alarm, and false alarms carry municipal penalties.

5

Support you can reach.

A local team that answers, services what it installed, and doesn't vanish after the invoice clears.

Already have a system?

We'll take over the system you already have.

You don't always need to rip everything out. If you've got cameras or an alarm from a previous provider, in a lot of cases we can take the system over, service it, connect it to our monitoring, and tell you honestly what's worth keeping and what's past its life. Plenty of clients come to us because the company that installed their gear disappeared or stopped answering. Taking over an existing system is normal work for us, and it's usually cheaper than starting from scratch.

Let's design a system that actually does something when it triggers.
