The cameras usually aren't the problem
When a camera system keeps going offline, freezes, or loses recordings, the network underneath them usually is. Cameras, access control, and alarms all ride on cabling, switches, and power, and if that foundation was thrown together cheaply, the whole system is unreliable no matter how good the gear on the wall is. We build that foundation properly — structured cabling to standard, Ubiquiti UniFi networking sized for the number of cameras you're actually running, and Power over Ethernet so each camera gets clean power and data down a single cable.

Frequently asked questions
Why is our business Wi-Fi so unreliable?
Almost always because nobody ever surveyed the building. Wi-Fi gets installed by guessing — an access point near the router, maybe one more down the hall — and the walls, shelving, coolers, and floor plan the signal actually has to cross never enter the picture. We start with a site survey: walk the space, find where coverage dies and where interference lives, and place access points where the survey says they belong, not where the cable was easiest to run. Reliable Wi-Fi is a design outcome, not a hardware upgrade.
Why is my camera footage choppy or dropping out?
The cameras usually aren't the problem — the network underneath them is. Choppy or missing footage typically traces back to an undersized uplink between the cameras and the recorder, or a PoE switch that can't power every camera on it at once, so cameras brown out and reconnect over and over. Swapping cameras doesn't fix either one. We size the switching, PoE budget, and uplinks for the camera count you actually run, which is why the fix for "bad cameras" is so often a better network.
Should cameras be on their own network?
Yes. In plain words: your network can be divided into separate lanes — called VLANs — so cameras travel in their own lane, away from your office computers and guest Wi-Fi. That matters for two reasons. First, camera traffic is heavy and constant, and keeping it in its own lane stops it from slowing down everything else. Second, a camera on your main network is a possible way into your business; in its own segmented lane, with remote access locked down, it can see out but nothing can use it to reach in.
Can you fix the network another installer left behind?
Yes — it's a big part of what we do. We start by assessing what's actually there: where the drops, dead zones, and dropouts are coming from, what cabling and switching is worth keeping, and what was never built right. Then we fix the real faults rather than ripping everything out for the sake of it. Unlabelled runs, undersized switches, everything on one flat network, no documentation — we've inherited all of it, and you end up with a network one local team understands and stands behind.
